Aachen ---- Rastaette
In the expectation of nothing changing we arrived in Aachen. Just as we put our first step onto the station platform the sky lit up and the darkness appeared.
The temperature went from 38 to 22 after the first cloudburst and …

Then the Raststaette, created and run by a collective and the gig organised by Dirk a really nice fellow and an ‘ueber fan’ of his home town Aachen.
Flattened during the war because of the bombing there …
Curiously remains from the Roman occupation, and an amazing ‘Rathaus’ that wouldn’t look out of place in a Grims fairy-tale.
It was so uplifting to be taken round a town by someone who is a fan of the town. Dirk we salute you!
Note to self: Aachen and Buxton both spar towns.
The gig was a really enthusiastic affair.
Key bloke Marcus who was a DJ in the 80s at ‘the headquarters’ in Aachen (in downtown Aachen as Marcus put it)
