Hi AllI have spent today deciding on a series of songs I am featuring for a Radio show on Tide FM in Hamburg that I have been asked to do on the afternoon that I play at ‘the Knust’ in Hamburg .

It all has to be vinyl, (for me the greatest musical medium) and I can tell you what I left out reluctantly. Polnareff, The Move, The Idle Race, Miossec, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, The Slade,. In fact I chose songs from albums that had a real impact on me. It must be the same for almost everybody.

I visited a record shop on Saturday that I have had my eye on for a couple of years now. ‘Bevans’ Music’ in Longton. The owner was a fan of it during his childhood but unfortunately it ceased trading. However, just over 2 years ago he bought it and has recreated it as he knew it and it is fantastic. Great vinyl. a nice choice of guitars and ukuleles, and I even found a Francoise Hardy album on vinyl I had never seen. It is in The Stand, Longton,
